In a recent review of Man of Steel, James Franco gave the new Superman flick a positive assessment. However, in the course of his piece he was not so kind to The Amazing Spider-Man, mentioning that the reboot of the series was made "before there was time to bury the corpse of the old one." Whoa, harsh! Sounds like James has some serious Arachnophobia when it comes to newer Spidey films.

James, who played Harry Osborn in the previous Spider-Man trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, said in another interview that the remake was, "eh." And mind you, that's the bad "eh," not the thumbs-up Fonzie "ehhhh!"

Apparently, watching The Amazing Spider-Man left James with his spider senses very much un-tingled, as he continued his diss fest by saying this:

"I mean, they could have strayed a little bit more from the original. It's like, 'Why?' Well, I guess they made a lot of money. Congrats. Good for them. Sam and I moved on, we made 'Oz The Great And Powerful.'"

We'll wait for James as he finishes brushing his shoulders off. Meanwhile, the Amazing Spider-Man movies starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone show no signs of needing a reboot, mostly because they can't be stopped. With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 coming out May of 2014, the 3rd and 4th installments have just been green lit. In the end, the franchise will probably have more sequels than James Bond and The Land Before Time combined.

Above is a new picture of Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan onset for the upcoming movie-musical hybrid, The Last Five Years, which just started filming in Brooklyn, despite being postponed for about 30 minutes due to strong winds and rain.

Let’s be real though, their biggest threat in Brooklyn was roaming packs of wild hipsters.

The two here are most likely singing the number I Can Do Better Than That, which has the character couple of Jamie and Cathy, Jeremy and Anna respectively, going on a road trip from New York to Connecticut.

The Last Five Years, written by playwright and lyricist Jason Robert Brown, is a two-person musical tour de force about an ill fated marriage written with an inneresting narrative structure; the character of Jason sings from the beginning of their relationship to the end, while Cathy sings backwards to the beginning. All it needs is a Hans Zimmer “BWWAAAAM” and it sounds like something Chris Nolan might direct!

While no release date has been released, musical theatre fans already mis-sing Les Mis are probably chomping at the bit for this adaptation to come out.

Thankfully, as much as love us some Russell Crowe, he won’t be lending his talents in this one. Ha!

Chloe Moretz and Aaron Taylor-Johnson suit up once more as Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl in their upcoming sequel, Kick Ass 2!

While they’re back to fight crime against the world’s first real super-villain, it looks like they’re not afraid of throwing a few punches at each other either!

According to author E.L. James, her characters Christian Grey and Ana Steele finally found a director for their porn film!

The Queen of Soccer-Mom Erotica broke the fabulous 50 Shades of Grey news on Twitter earlier today.

She revealed:

I'm delighted & thrilled to let you guys know that Sam Taylor-Johnson has agreed to direct the film of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Sam will certainly have some interesting casting decisions to make!

Legendary actor James Gandolfini is dead at 51.

He reportedly succumbed to a heart attack while in Italy.

The Sopranos star was apparently attending the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily when this unspeakably sad tragedy occurred.

Our hearts go out to his wife Deborah Lin, their daughter, and his son Michael.

Rest in peace, big guy -- you were one of our favorites!!!

These dudes rocked so high above London's skyline yesterday that they were practically playing from outer space!

Fronted by the fantastically foxy Jared Leto, the boys put on an acoustic set atop the city's famed O2 Arena.

It was the venue's first rooftop concert since Bon Jovi was Livin' On A Prayer up there back in 2010.

Based on William J. Mann's unauthorized biography Hello Gorgeous: Becoming Barbra Streisand, the film would cover Babs' early years as an unknown trying to make it as an actress.

So basically, "A Star Is Born star is born?" It sounds great! Now all they need is a leading lady! Lee says:

"Obviously, casting the starring role is crucial–and difficult. We went to Lea Michele first, because it’s such an obvious and commercial choice to us."

Yes!! Perfect!

Unfortunately, Lea says she isn't interested in doing more TV right now. But that doesn't mean anyone is giving up! Lee says:

"The actress who plays Barbra will be nominated for awards. It could be real event television. Could HBO be interested in the wake of the Liberace biopic? We hope so."

See, Lea? That wouldn't be TV. It's HBO! Not to mention it's BARBRA! Hello! Dolly!

We love new things!

A couple of months ago we posted the last trailer for Mortal Instrument: City of Bones, which opens August 21st, with an all-star cast of Lily Collins, her boyfriend-co-star Jamie Campbell Bower (who says mixing business with pleasure is wrong!), Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, and many more!

It's great to see the ever-talented Lily Collins be apart of what looks like an awesome film franchise, after watching parts she auditioned for go respectively to KStew and Jlaw in the successful Twilight and Hunger Games series, a casting process, which like their movie counterparts, probably involved kids fighting to the death and a lot of (blood)sucker punches. So glad that Lily has her own book-based mega-blockbuster franchise to call her own!

Mortal Instruments is about a girl who discovers that she is half angel, and must use her newfound powers to protect the world from demons: Greater Demons, Lesser Demons, and (we hope) Telemarketers. If the movie is anything like the crossbow and flamethrower-filled trailer, it should turn the audience into a City of Bonerz!

Real Housewives' Sonja Morgan was rumored to have gotten a breast augmentation sometime last year.

And by displaying her buxom boobies in the Hamptons last week, she's confirmed it for some speculators!

Sonja danced burlesque at a Speakeasy Moderne cabaret party held at East Hampton Studio, and essentially let it all hang out as she performed a risque number.
